Who qualifies
You likely qualify if
- Your business is registered in the United States as a corporation, LLC or LP (nonprofits are welcome).
- You have an EIN (Ramp says this cannot be waived).
- You have at least $25,000 in cash in a US business bank account that you link to the application.
- You have a US physical business address (not a PO box, virtual office, registered-agent or mail-forwarding address).
- Most of your operations and corporate spending happen in the US (international transactions are still supported).
- You apply with a business email address, and one corporate officer or owner can provide the last 4 digits of their SSN, or a foreign passport plus proof of address if they have no SSN.
- You can link your bank account directly or manually (account type, balance, routing and account number, last 3 months of PDF statements).
- Partner rewards require an active Ramp account; AWS credits additionally require meeting AWS Activate's own criteria (pre-Series B, founded within 10 years, AWS account on the Paid Tier plan; Portfolio route also needs an Activate Provider Organization ID, a functioning website and no previously received Activate credits of equal or greater value).
You won't qualify if
- Sole proprietors, individuals and other unregistered businesses (Ramp says it is not currently accepting them).
- Businesses without an EIN.
- Businesses with under $25,000 cash in a linked US business bank account.
- Businesses whose only address is a PO box, virtual office, registered-agent or mail-forwarding address.
- Non-US entities for the US program as documented; Ramp launched local offerings in Canada (July 2026) and the UK (Sept 2026), but the startup-program eligibility article is US-based and we could not confirm the $350K perks package applies outside the US.
- Cash sign-up bonuses are for new customers only and depend on the partner link used; existing Ramp customers generally do not qualify.
Geography. United States (US-registered entity, US bank account, US physical address required). Ramp also lists card issuers for the US, Canada, the UK and the EEA and launched local offerings in Canada (July 2026) and the UK (September 2026), but the documented startup-program eligibility is US-based.
How to apply to Ramp for Startups
- 01Go to ramp.com/startups and click Apply (or sign up directly at ramp.com/signup) using a business email address. If your accelerator is a Ramp partner, or you are applying through a partner such as Clerky or a Builtfirst perk portal, use that partner's link so any cash bonus attaches to your account.
- 02Enter personal details for one corporate officer or owner (last 4 of SSN, or foreign passport plus proof of address).
- 03Enter formation details: EIN, formation date, legal name and any DBA, business description and ownership information.
- 04Report your monthly business card spend (most recent month, or a 3-6 month average if variable; exclude ACH, check and wire payments).
- 05Link a US business bank account holding at least $25,000, directly or manually with routing/account numbers and the last 3 months of PDF statements.

What changed in 2025 and 2026
2026: Ramp expanded internationally (Billhop acquisition March 2026, Canada launch July 2026, UK launch September 2026) and lists card issuers in the US, Canada, UK and EEA. Partner-channel bonus terms moved during 2026: Clerky's offer changed from up to $2,000 (Feb 2026, requiring a $250K+ Treasury deposit for the larger part) to up to $1,750 (May 2026, $25K deposit plus a first $1K balance payment). AWS's own Activate page now lists Portfolio at up to $200,000. The 2% APY on Ramp Checking was current as of 10/09/2026.

Ramp credits and your AWS bill
Ramp is an AWS Activate Provider, so Ramp customers can apply for AWS Activate credits with Ramp as their affiliated organization via the Rewards > Offers tab. Ramp has publicly said (AWS case study) it can offer up to $100K in AWS credits to its clients; AWS's own pages now list Activate Portfolio, the provider-backed route, at up to $200,000 versus $1,000 (up to $5,000) for the self-funded Founders tier, and Ramp's ramp.com pages state no AWS amount, so treat the real figure as set by AWS at application time.
