- You already have a free Sentry account with an organization slug (the subdomain in your Sentry URL) before you apply.

- Companies that have raised $5M or more in venture capital.
- Companies that already pay, or have paid, for Sentry (the program is for those 'new to paying for Sentry').
- YC or a16z speedrun founders who take the separate YC/a16z Sentry deal (Sentry says the two offers do not stack; pick one).
- Nonprofits and open-source projects (Sentry's help article routes these to its separate Sentry for Good sponsored-account program at sentry.io/for/good/).

What changed in 2025 and 2026
No 2025-2026 change to the core terms is confirmed on official sources. Sentry's help-center article on the program was last modified August 18, 2026 and lists $5,000 in credits with a one-year expiry, the under-2-years / under-$5M / new-to-paying rules, and 2-3 business day review. The apply page, help article and Mass AI Coalition page all say the YC and a16z speedrun deals do not stack with this program; no source dates when that note was added. Sentry also runs the identical offer and form under a co-branded Mass AI Coalition page. Some third-party posts (for example an XRaise promo-code post) cite a $500 credit, which does not match any current official page; treat $5,000 as current.

Sentry credits and your AWS bill
Sentry credits do not reduce your AWS bill, but they cover error, crash, and performance monitoring for the apps you run on AWS, which is a separate line item that AWS Activate credits do not pay for. Use the two together: Activate for infrastructure, Sentry for Startups for observability on top of it.
