Who qualifies
You likely qualify if
- You can claim through a partner channel: an AWS Activate account, a Mercury account, or an accelerator/VC that lists Supabase in its perks portal (there is no direct application on supabase.com)
- AWS Activate route: your startup has institutional VC backing from a recognized firm
- AWS Activate route: your stage is pre-seed to Series A
- AWS Activate route: total funding raised is under $5M
- Mercury route: you hold a Mercury business account (Mercury requires a company formed in the US or a US territory) and you are a new Supabase customer
- You have (or will create) a Supabase organization; credits attach to one organization and can only be moved via a support ticket
You won't qualify if
- AWS Activate route excludes bootstrapped companies, consulting firms, agencies, enterprises, and any company without institutional VC investment
- Mercury route is for new Supabase customers only; Mercury does not say whether an existing free-tier account counts, so confirm before redeeming
- Startups with no partner affiliation: supabase.com has no self-serve startup application (the old /startups URL now redirects to a generic marketing page)
- Credits cannot be used to pay or adjust invoices already issued; they only reduce future invoices
Geography. Supabase publishes no country restrictions. The AWS Activate route follows AWS Activate eligibility. The Mercury route requires a company formed in the US or a US territory; founders need not be US residents, but Mercury does not serve founders in certain restricted countries.
How to apply to Supabase for Startups
- 01Pick your channel: AWS Activate (needs institutional VC backing, pre-seed to Series A, under $5M raised), Mercury (needs a Mercury account and must be a new Supabase customer), or your accelerator/VC perks portal if Supabase is listed there.
- 02Create the Supabase organization that will receive the credits (sign up at supabase.com/dashboard/sign-up). If you plan to use the Mercury route, read Mercury's redeem steps first, because the offer is for new Supabase customers only and Mercury does not define 'new'.
- 03AWS route: sign in at startups.aws.com (AWS Startups account required), open Offers, find the Supabase offer and follow its redeem flow; the offer is listed as an AWS Marketplace offer, Supabase reviews each application and may ask for proof of funding. Check that the checkout shows no charge before you confirm, because some users have reported being billed through AWS Marketplace (unverified). Mercury route: while logged in to Mercury, open mercury.com/perks/supabase and follow the redeem steps, which load only for logged-in customers.
- 04Wait for confirmation; no review-time SLA is published. Third-party trackers report a few business days to two weeks (unverified).
- 05After approval, check the credit balance under your Supabase organization's billing page; credits are drawn down on future invoices before your card is charged, and are delivered over 12 months.
Review time: No published SLA. AWS route: Supabase reviews every application and may request funding documentation. Third-party trackers cite a few business days to 2 weeks (unverified).. Apply at startups.aws.com/offers/supabase.
What changed in 2025 and 2026
By mid-2026 Supabase had removed its public startup-program page: supabase.com/startups now 308-redirects to a generic marketing page (/solutions/startups) with no application form or published amounts, and third-party trackers logged the direct application as gone on Aug 5, 2026 (Perkstack) and Sep 3, 2026 (guptadeepak, which calls the program discontinued). Supabase has made no announcement. Signs of continued partner activity: its Oct 3, 2025 blog says it partners with more than 80 accelerators and early-stage investors and is rapidly expanding that network, an Aug 18, 2026 Supabase job posting for a startups partner-enablement role lists credit redemptions as a metric, and Mercury's $300 perk page was still live on 2026-10-09. The AWS offer page is behind sign-in, so its current availability could not be confirmed directly.

Supabase credits and your AWS bill
Supabase offers $300 as a partner offer inside AWS Activate, delivered as an AWS Marketplace offer for VC-backed Activate members. It is claimed in addition to your AWS Activate credits, but it only reduces your Supabase bill, not your AWS bill. Supabase is a managed Postgres and backend platform hosted on AWS (AWS PrivateLink for direct database connections is in beta on Team and Enterprise plans), so it is an alternative to running RDS or Aurora yourself rather than a way to spend AWS credits.
